Harrison Ford Stars on a Racial Drama Crossing Over

America is truly the country of Dreams. No wonder immigrants do all that they can just to enter this big nation even if it will cost their life. Their desperate acts of entering the country test the humanity and morality of immigration enforcement officers like Max Brogan (Harrison Ford) in The Weinstein Company’s new racial drama "Crossing Over," writer-director Wayne Kramer explores the temptation of the American dream, and the reality that immigrants find - and create -- in modern L.A.

In the film, L.A. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer Max Brogan (Ford) is an agent sworn to protect America ’s borders, dealing with the thousands that try to cross over into the US in search of a better life. The lives of Brogan, his ICE partner, Hamid Baraheri (Curtis), immigration defense attorney, Denise Frankel (Judd), and her husband, Cole Frankel (Liotta), intersect, by necessity, accident or fate, with Mexican factory worker Mireya Sanchez (Braga); Hamid’s sister Zahra (Melody Khazae); young Bangladeshi Taslima Jahangir (Summer Bishil); British musician Gavin Kossef (Sturgess); Australian actress Claire Shepard (Alice Eve); and Korean teen Yong Kim (Justin Chon).

Each has a different struggle: a single mother deported without her child; a high school girl whose provocative essay draws FBI attention; an actress who willingly prostitutes herself to earn her green card; a struggling musician trying to build a career while working his day job; and finally, a Korean teen caught between two worlds, while his family is desperate to naturalize.

Told on a multi intersecting stories, Crossing Over is a tragic yet cathartic
tale brought to life by international artists like the film stars Harrison Ford (“Firewall”), Ray Liotta ("Good Fellas") Ashley Judd ("Double Jeopardy"), Cliff Curtis ("Die Hard 4.0”), Jim Sturgess ("21")) and Alice Braga ("City of God").

The critically applauded film is prsented by MGM, The Weinstein Company and will be shown soon exclusively at Ayala Malls Cinemas (Glorietta 4 and Greenbelt 3) and check my blog for further updates.
