DLSU Celebrates Centennial Year with "Paglipad ng Anghel"

In commemoration of De La Salle University's Centennial year, here comes a masterpiece written and directed by the university's highly acclaimed screenwriter and director Clodualdo "Doy" Del Mundo, jr. titled "Paglipad ng Anghel" (Flight of an Angel).

The film explores the tale of Gabby (Sid Lucero), a television network accountant. Gabby is just your ordinary guy with an average ordinary life. One day as he is doing the usual routine of his everyday life, he meets an old beggar asking for help.

After this act of charity, he starts noticing two unusual protrusion on his back. As he try to continue living up his life with this new found deformity, he starts to face more consequences. Now his suppose to be ordinary life becomes more complicated as he transforms to a heavenly entity.

"Paglipad ng Anghel" features an all-Lasallian cast led by Gawad Urian best actor and International Emmy nominee Sid Lucero, LJ Moreno, Christian Vasquez, Epi Quizon, Joel Torre and Audie Gemora on a cameo role.

The film is produced specially for a fund raising drive for One La Salle Scholarship  Fund who aims to raise P1Billion for 18,000 full scholars in La Salle schools nationwide.  "Paglipad ng Anghel" is independently-produced through del Mundo’s Buruka Films in cooperation with PostManila and through the additional support of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. This endeavor is being supported by Audie Gemora’s STAGES.

The film is set to premiere on June 12 at 7 p.m. at the SM Mall of Asia Cinema 6.  "Paglipad ng Anghel" will have a series of screenings on various La Salle campuses nationwide after the premiere night, which serves as a prelude to the DLSU centennial celebration on June 16.  Tickets are sold at P300.
