First time to post something about this sequel. Been toning down my blogging hours. Not a big blogger these past few months. But this new trailer just caught my attention and deserves a share. The Dwarves of Erebor are back with our favorite Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins and Wizard, Gandalf. And look at the first time we will see Legolas on the Hobbit franchise. Watch the trailer after the jump.
The second in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor. And here are some poster art for the movie featuring the main cast plus the debut of Tauriel (Evangeline Lily) and Legolas (Orlando Bloom). It is definitely game on.
No matter how haters put this movie franchise down, I guess it needs power more than what the one ring can give to discredit it. I'm definitely looking forward to see this sequel.
A production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM), “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” will be released in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters in the Philippines by Warner Bros. Pictures on Dec. 12, 2013, to be followed by “The Hobbit: There and Back Again” on July 18, 2014.
