After Katorse ends this week, Erich and Enchong fans should not worry because the two will be coming back on a brand new series on ABS-CBN, Tanging Yaman. How far have they gone? The love triangle of Nene, Gabby and Jojo has caught the hearts of the public in their unparalleled series “Katorse”. As 2010 starts its way and fuels a brand new show, an additional conflict tests the said trio as Melissa Ricks and Matt Evans enter into the scene via their newest tv project, Tanging Yaman. How will these young ones conquer the screen this time?


Babies of ABS-CBN’s talent search Star Circle Quest, Erich and Melissa are both excited to work with each other since this will be the first time that the two teen actresses will work in one soap opera. How are they going to portray their opposite roles in the story as they move together in a timely and relevant show that will once again grasp the attention of the people?


On the other hand, it is a known fact that ‘Katorse’ has created a tight rivalry between Ejay and Enchong. Will the competition in their previous series continue in this story? How will Matt carry the pressure brought by Ejay and Enchong’s hit characters from their recent soap? “Hindi naman ako kinakabahan na makipagsabayan sa kanila, naeexcite na nga ako na makatrabaho silang tatlo. Sa tingin ko, mag-eenjoy ako working with Erich and her two leading men,” Matt shared.


The story of the Tanging Yaman is rooted on an incident that will wreck the life and fortune of two families. One family will prosper and the other will suffer. Fina, with her sister Marina (Jodi Sta. Maria), will grow up in poverty whereas Isabel (Melissa Ricks) will be raised as the First Daughter of the country. As the truth unveils, Fina (Erich) resumes the responsibilities and privileges alongside being the daughter of the president.

Things won’t be easy for Fina (Erich), as she unites with her biological parents; she has to deal with Isabel (Melissa) who wants her position in the first family.


Under the direction of Lino Cayetano and Manny Palo every scene is guaranteed to move your hearts and minds into unpredictable events.  Tanging Yaman starts this January 11 after Precious Hearts Romances on ABS-CBN.
