So to stop all the rumors, Star Cinema finally dropped the long awaited news.  After acquiring all the Ravelo properties, ABS CBN decided to kickstart their Mars Ravelo series of adaptations with a Movie and of course with our all time fav heroine, Darna.  And yes it is also official, Angel Locsin is playing Darna.




According to reports by ABS CBN News, the deal is final and the production will start as soon as possible for a target release of next year.  There is still no final decision to what studio will Star Cinema work with to produce Darna but they are considering Reality Entertainment who are known for their latest innovations on special effects and production design.


Other than Darna, Star Cinema also announced that they are remaking one of their cult classic fantasy film Magic Temple with Kathryn Bernardo and Danielle Padilla frontlining the new cast. As much as I'm very excited for both projects, everything can go into waste if they are not careful on getting the right people to do it.  Specially the cast.  I really wish they can pull this off.
