Magician Showdown in "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone"

The last time I saw a Steve Carell and Jim Carrey on a one on one is in the film Bruce Almighty. They did work again together on Horton Hears a Who but only as voice talents.  Now Warner Bros. is bringing back these dynamic duo once again as Rival Magicians/Illusionists on the movie The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Watch the trailer after the jump.

In the film, superstar magicians Burt Wonderstone (Carell) and Anton Marvelton (Buscemi) have ruled the Las Vegas strip for years, raking in millions with illusions as big as Burt’s growing ego. But lately the duo’s greatest deception is their public friendship, while secretly they’ve grown to loathe each other.

Facing cutthroat competition from guerilla street magician Steve Gray (Carrey), whose cult following surges with each outrageous stunt, even their show looks stale. But there’s still a chance Burt and Anton can save the act—both onstage and off—if Burt can get back in touch with what made him love magic in the first place.

So after a mud slinging riot in the newsroom, Jim and Steve will now go head on for the price of fame. Who's the best magician? Burt Wonderstone (Carell) or Steve Gray (Carrey)? Only time can tell. Oh by the way, we also have the hot Olivia Wilde so that is definitely a big plus for the guys out there. Jim Carrey's latest comedies may not be some of the most memorable these past years, I really hope that teaming up with Steve Carell will create something that will leave mark like Bruce Almighty.

Opening across the Philippines on March 20, “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” is a New Line Cinema presentation and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
