Love Will Always Find You: The Wedding Singer Musical Hits Manila



After the success of Rent Musical, 9 Works Theatrical is back for yet another musical event this October. Based on a 1998 New Line Cinema film starred by Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, here comes the Tony Award nominated musical The Wedding Singer from the music of Matthew Sklar, Lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and book of Tim Herlihy.

The Wedding Singer tells a story of a guy named Robbie Hart (Gian Magdangal) who sings on weddings for his living. He is a cheerful and optimistic fellow but not until the day of his Wedding when his fiancée turned runaway bride. Completely devastated and heartbroken, Robbie's world suddenly falls into a living hell. Then enters Julia Sullivan (Iya Villania and Shiela Valderrama-Martinez) a sweet and conservative girl he met on one of his gigs. Robbie thought he found what will bring him back to his old self but it seems to be Glen Guglia (Jeremy Aguado), Julia's boyfriend will not make it so easy for him. Will Robbie find his way back to Love or is he already doomed forever?

Directed by the acclaimed director of Songs for A New World, Rent and many other musicals, Robbie Guevara is back for another treat to all Musical Theater lovers in Manila. 9 Works Theatrical proudly presents the musical comedy The Wedding Singer. Show is top billed by Gian Magdangal who will play the lead role Robbie Hart, Iya Villania and Sheila Martinez will alternate on the role of Julia Sullivan, Myrene Santos will play Robbie's fiancée,  Linda, Jeremy Aguado as Julia's Wall Street minded boyfriend, Glen, Nikki Valdez and Analin Bantug alternates as Julia's cousin, Holly, Lorenz Martinez as Robbie's best friend, Sammy and Johann Dela Fuente as the the flamboyant performer, George.

Other members of the cast who will showcase their mettle in acting, singing and dancing prowess include: Arnold Trinidad, Bym Buhain, Chinie Nepomuceno, Francis Matheu, Harold Cruz, Ikey Canoy, James Stacey, Jenny Villegas, Jonjon Martin, Luau Sablan, Mark Tayag, Mian Dimacali, Miguel Vasquez, Nikki Guevara, Peachy Atilano, Sab Jose, Shelyn Tayanes, and Sylveth Ong-iko.
