Falling In and Out of Love on Valentine's Day: A Movie Review

February 14 could be the most well loved or most hated date of all occasions in a year but no doubt this day is still an ordinary day for most of us to Fall in or out of Love.  But what is for sure, this day could be different from the perspective of different people.   Just like the characters of our next feature movie - Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day is a film directed by Gary Marshall (Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, Princess Diaries) that tells the story of an ensemble of characters from different walks of life spending the day of the hearts resolving differences, infidelity, sexual rage and not to mention sexual orientation.

Getting a lot of known actors did a pretty good job on adding up on the movie's hype.  Because of it, many people are excited to see the movie other than the fact that it premiere's during the Valentine's Season.  The big names like Julia Roberts, Kathy Bates, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Emma Roberts, Queen Latifah to name a few do help on giving the excitement and the mystery on what characters they will portray.   Too bad I think the movie will be a big flop without these names because some of the plot, sub plots and more sub plots are unoriginal and common.

Surprisingly to say, I think one of the best performance in the Movie is that of the two Taylors.  They did a pretty good job portraying an ideal teen Love full of excitement, raging hormones and a giant teddy bear.  Taylor Swift has this natural aura that surely most girls will relate to.

The story may appear very ordinary or predictable but wait as you see the twists and turns on the ending that will leave you laughing your lungs out.  The film is full of mush.  And that is why it is good.  The film is a perfect Valentine's Day flick that will fill your hearts with cheesy lines,  corny but laughable jokes, and maybe a kiss from your girl while inside the cinemas.  The movie is big Hype, but what can we do?  We all do Love Hype anyway.

Valentine's Day is now showing on all cinemas nationwide from New Line Cinema distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
